This course lays the essential groundwork for your journey as a Food Coach. You’ll explore what influences people’s eating habits—what they eat, why they eat, how much, and what leads them to stop. You’ll also gain an introduction to mindful eating, nutrition research fundamentals, and the critical role cooking plays in health and behavior change.
Alongside this, you’ll begin practicing motivational interviewing—the core communication style used throughout Food Coach Academy. Finally, we’ll step into the kitchen to cover setup, safety, basic cooking techniques, and how cooking impacts nutrient absorption. This course sets the stage for confident, informed, and practical coaching.
